What are the features of the boom lift?

The telescopic boom is manufactured and installed to a high specification and tested in accordance with BSEN280: 2001 regulations. The key features and benefits are outlined below:

Tough construction for two-man operation

Made from steel and aluminium, the MEWP is incredibly well-built and able to withstand tough working conditions. The bucket is built from fibreglass, with an integral finger guard and two harness anchors allowing a two-man operation with a weight capacity of 200kg SWL. There is a spare payload of 300kg, which includes fuel plus a driver and passenger.

Reaches far and wide

The MEWP articulates from –8o to +80o with a horizontal outreach of 7.3m. It has a 360° non continuous rotation and an optimised reach envelope with 110o working vertical arc. This gives easy access to the underside of bridges and decks.

Packed with safety features

The MEWP has hydraulic stabilisers (jacks) which are easily controlled via the dashboard in the cab. The stabiliser interlocks ensure the jacks are correctly deployed before use, and the ground controls are on a 5m wander to give the operator full sight of the bucket whilst in use. The MEWP is PTO powered from either the vehicle engine or gearbox, and the handbrake interlock will make a sound if the handbrake is released with the PTO engaged.

Emergency power and engine shut off

There is an emergency power pack for all boom functions, as well as an emergency engine stop and restart function, which is accessible from the bucket or at ground level.

Are there any optional extras like amber beacons?

How long can they be hired for?
