Whether you need to access a cathedral roof, gym windows or a hospital ceiling, the new range of Hinowa spider lifts can be used inside and out, and come armed with a whole host of benefits to help you get the job done safely, quickly and easily. Read on to find out more about the features of each spider lift, to help you choose the one that best meets your needs.

Three new spider lifts available

There are three new MEWPs to choose from, available to hire on a long-term, flexible basis

The new range includes a small, medium and larger sized spider lift, giving you choice to pick a specialist tracked platform which is best matched to the job in hand, without having to settle for one that offers more or less than you need.

Access all areas

One of the biggest selling points of the Hinowa spider lifts is their ability to reach areas that other MEWPs simply can’t get to. With a 360 degree turret rotation on all models, a removable 2 man cage and a choice of working heights, it’s easy to see why they are so popular for hard-to-reach jobs in atriums, churches and exhibition centres. Power, water and an airline can all be supplied to the basket, making them ideal for window cleaning and maintenance jobs as well as regular building work.

Solid and balanced

Built with automatic self-levelling outriggers and hydraulic extendable tracks, the spider lifts are incredibly stable during transportation and use. They are ideal for setting up, stabilising and working on uneven, unstable and weight restricted ground. This helps to minimise damage and accidents for complete peace of mind.

Compact and flexible

All of the new spider lifts can negotiate narrow doorways and drive up steps with ease. Their compact body and small travelling width makes them suitable for a wide variety of jobs, from working at stadiums, hotels, offices and shopping centres to schools, leisure centres and museums.

Powerful and reliable

Not only are the new specialist tracked platforms stable and sturdy, they are powered by a 2.2kw – 230v -50Hz, 1500 RPM electric motor for high performance when you need it. The last thing you need is a piece of equipment that breaks down or doesn’t provide enough power to complete the job as quickly as possible.

An overview of each spider lift

Now that you’ve seen the features of each model at a glance, read on for a more detailed overview and pictures of each MEWP, to help get an idea of the model that is right for you.

The Hinowa 14.70 IIIS

The Hinowa 14.70 IIIS has a working height of 14m and outreach of 7m. The removable 2 man aluminium cage can accommodate 120kg – 200kg and the travelling width can be reduced to 0.78m for easy access to manoeuvre through tight spaces. It is the smallest of the three new models, great for jobs that need a compact spider lift to negotiate narrow doorways and other restricted entrances. The working footprint is just 2.7m x 2.7m and it comes with a remote radio-control and interactive display for quick and easy self-stabilisation and destabilisation.

The Hinowa 17.75 IIIS Performance

The Hinowa 17.75 IIIS is the next step up in the range, offering a medium sized spider lift with a working height of 17m and an outreach of 7.5m. The removable 2 man aluminium cage can accommodate 230kg, with an unrestricted cage capacity for the whole working area. The travelling width can be reduced to 0.8m, so it is slightly larger than the Hinowa 14.70 IIIS. However, it is still easy to negotiate narrow passages and has a 3 speed drive system. The working footprint is just 2.9m x 2.9m and it comes with a handy umbilical remote control.

Hinowa 20.10 IIIS Performance

The largest in the new fleet of specialist tracked platforms, the Hinowa 20.10 IIIS has a working height of 20m and outreach capacity of 9.7m. Perfect for larger or higher jobs where it is otherwise difficult to fully access the working area. The working footprint is still very reasonable at just 2.95m x 2.95m and the spider lift comes with a removable 2 man cage that can be rotated so it is flush with the wall trajectory. It is powered by a 3 speed drive system and comes with an umbilical remote control.
