Highway Hire is pleased to welcome James Laws to the team. In his new role as Business Manager, James will be responsible for managing the company and growing it into a leading vehicle hire supplier. He brings 10 years’ experience from the hire industry and has a solid background in customer service.
During his time spent working for market leaders, product specialists and independent businesses, James has gathered hands-on experience providing hire solutions to both sole traders and large corporate organisations. He is no stranger to hard work, with first-hand experience of operating, running and maintaining most types of hire equipment during his career, including working at height solutions. James is also IPAF 1B, 3A & 3B operator and demonstrator trained.
Together with a rich hire industry background, James has 6 years’ experience in customer service roles within the finance industry. He has trained and managed teams, as well as working on the front line in call centres dealing direct with customers. James’ personal and dedicated approach to customer service will be instrumental in the growth of Highway Hire.
When speaking about his ambitions for the business, James says:
“My mission is for Highway Hire to become the first choice vehicle hire supplier and to establish the company as a leading specialist vehicle hire supplier in its own right. We will achieve this through first class customer service, modern hire vehicles, competitive rates and a flexible approach to working at height and lifting hire solutions.”
His genuine care for customers, passion for the hire industry and strong commitment to “take the hassle out of hiring” will help Highway Hire become the leading supplier of commercial vehicles, HIABs and MEWPs. James is happiest when he is supporting customers, and doesn’t believe in unnecessary layers of management. He has three simple rules when it comes to work:
“I find that honesty is always the best policy. I always do what I say, and say what I do. And finally, I find a way, and make it happen.”
His golden rules, passion for the hire industry and strong focus on a personal, hands-on service will be of huge benefit to Highway Hire and its customers. The team are glad to welcome him to the company and look forward to its continued success and growth.
